For many residents in the City of Moonee Valley, the goal is to swap high-maintenance gardens for high-end, low-maintenance courtyards that enhance a relaxed, inner-city lifestyle.

Seamless indoor-outdoor integration

The design for this Moonee Ponds extension centered on a core philosophy: opening the inside to the outside. To achieve this, Dean incorporated expansive bi-fold doors that bridge the gap between the interior living zone and a sun-drenched, north-facing deck. By utilising this north-facing aspect, Dean ensured the home is flooded with natural warmth and light, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels significantly larger than its physical footprint.
